Several dynamic outreach and design projects highlight the success of Amigos in sustainable community-based design. Gibson Park was designed with input from over 500 residents to prepare an application for funding from the California State Urban Parks Act. Durfee-Thompson Sports Complex, designed with community input and collaboration between Amigos and Meyers and Associates, Inc, is a model for multi-benefit park planning.
